TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Jameis Winston has a new weapon playing out wide for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The team agreed to a two-year contract with CFL star Derel Walker Thursday. Walker, 25, will receive $100,000 guaranteed. He had 2,699 yards and 16 touchdowns on 198 catches in two seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos.

"[Walker is] a very humble, hard working person and if his future brings him that, I feel like he deserves it," Eskimos teammate Adarius Bowman said of Walker, via the Edmonton Journal.

Walker played alongside Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans at Texas A&M. He was not signed by the Tennessee Titans in 2014, when he tried to make the team as an undrafted free agent.

"I got pretty tired of seeing the snow," Walker told the Tampa Bay Times. "It's nice to get some sun...I'm just grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to what the future holds."
