FLORHAM PARK, N.J. --- Nick Mangold still wants to finish his career with the Jets. But it remains to be seen if the center and the Jets can make it happen.

Mangold, who was limited to eight games this season due to a high ankle sprain, spoke to reporters on Wednesday for the first time since he was placed on injured reserve Dec. 8. The 32-year-old, who has spent all 11 NFL seasons with the Jets and is the team's longest-tenured player, has battled several nagging injuries the last three years but said he is not considering retirement.

"I want to keep playing football," Mangold said. "And I want to do it here."

But Mangold declined to say whether or not he'd accept a pay cut. Mangold is due to make $8.6 million next season in the final year of an eight-year contract he signed in 2010.
