Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers, Miami Dolphins Jay Ajayi among players of week

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after a four-touchdown performance in Week 16, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Rodgers completed 28 of 38 passes for 347 for a 136.6 passer rating in the Packers' 38-25 victory over the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday. He also rushed for a touchdown, accounting for five TDs in all.

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi was honored as the AFC offensive player after rushing for 206 yards and a touchdown in the 34-31 overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills. His 57-yard run in overtime set up Andrew Franks' game-winning field goal.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Malcolm Jenkins was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, thanks in part to a pick-six interception in Thursday night's 24-19 win over the New York Giants. He had another interception and six tackles.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey took the AFC defensive award after his interception for a touchdown in the 38-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. He added four passes defensed and four tackles.

Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Jamie Meder was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the team's first victory of the season -- a 20-17 win against the San Diego Chargers. Meder blocked a 32-yard game-tying field goal attempt with 3:45 remaining in the fourth quarter to help the Browns secure the victory.

Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant earned the NFC special teams honor by making four field goals on five attempts in the 33-16 win over the Carolina Panthers.
