Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon was placed on injured reserve for the second time of his brief NFL career.

An ankle injury sustained in Saturday's 38-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans effectively ended Yeldon's 2016 season. The 23-year-old Yeldon, who was placed on injured reserve Monday, saw his rookie campaign last year come to a halt due to a knee injury.

The addition of fellow running back Chris Ivory reduced this season's workload for Yeldon, who recorded 130 carries for 465 yards and one touchdown in 15 games. Yeldon rushed 182 times for 740 yards and two scores after being selected in the second round of the 2015 draft.

Daryl Richardson was claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers to fill Yeldon's roster spot.
