Jason Pierre-Paul among 3 New York Giants injured

PITTSBURGH -- New York Giants star defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, the reigning NFC Defensive Player of the Week, sat out the second half of Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a groin injury.

Pierre-Paul, one of three New York players injured in the first half, was hurt with 1:35 left before halftime during the Steelers' final possession of the half, which ended in a field goal.

Pierre-Paul had seven sacks in the Giants' first 11 games, including three against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 27 -- a game in which he had seven tackles, a forced fumble and a touchdown.

Giants cornerback Coty Sensabaugh was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked for a rib and chest injury, which also occurred before halftime. Giants defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins also left the game with a thigh injury.
