New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Julian Edelman were absent from Wednesday's practice.

Brady is nursing a knee injury that prevented him from practicing until late last week. A regular on the injury report, Brady is expected to play on Sunday (1 p.m. ET) when the Patriots (9-2) host the Los Angeles Rams (4-7).

Gronkowski returned from a chest/lung injury in Sunday's 22-17 victory over the New York Jets, but exited in the first quarter with a back ailment. Gronkowski is averaging a team-best 21.6 yards per reception.

Edelman, who has played in every game this season, has been plagued by a foot injury since Oct. 6. Edelman leads the team in receptions (64) and receiving yards (617).
