CLEVELAND, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Some of Robert Griffin III's $15 million contract slipped from his grasp Sunday, as the Cleveland Browns were losing to the New York Giants.

And it happened in an unexpected way. While Griffin was manning the sidelines, someone stole money from his wallet. The wallet was sitting in his car inside the Browns' players and family parking garage facility. Griffin's girlfriend, Grete Šadeiko, also had money stolen.

"So you valet your car for a @Browns game and come back to all of you and your boyfriends money being gone from the wallets," Šadeiko tweeted Sunday night.

Griffin responded to tweet by retweeting and writing "SMH."

The Browns quarterback is recovering from a shoulder injury, but the Browns are "hopeful" he can start before the end of the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He has been practicing after the Browns made him its I.R. return player.

ABC7's Scott Taylor reported that the couple have yet to file a police report. The incident is being "handled internally" with the valet company, according to Taylor.
