SEATTLE, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- 'The Legion of Boom' will be without one of its best hitters Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas missed practice all week due to a hamstring strain. On Friday he was ruled out for this weekend's battle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Thomas, 27, had never missed a practice in his career until this week. The Seahawks will also play without the services of defensive end Michael Bennett.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that Thomas' injury is a "first-degree" hamstring tear. The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta reported that the injury is usually 10-14 days.

Thomas has 46 tackles and two interceptions in 10 games this season.
