PHOENIX, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Bruce Arians was hospitalized for the second time this season, Sunday after his Arizona Cardinals lost to the Minnesota Vikings.

Arians, 64, was taken to the hospital by his wife after the Cardinals returned home from its road trip.

"After returning home from Minnesota, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians was experiencing discomfort and not feeling well during the night," the Cardinals said in a release. "His wife took him to a local hospital to be evaluated. All tests conducted so far have come back favorably. He remains in the hospital for continued evaluation. Further updates will be provided as they are available."

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Arians' test have been "favorable."

Arians went to a San Diego hospital in August before the Cardinals had a night practice with the Chargers because he was experiencing stomach pain. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a colon infection.

The two-time NFL Coach of the Year has a 38-19-1 record in four seasons with the Cardinals. The Cardinals face the Atlanta Falcons at 1 p.m. next Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
