Los Angeles Rams defensive end Robert Quinn said that dehydration issues were the reason he was rushed to the hospital earlier this week.

Quinn returned to practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Quinn was taken to the hospital on Monday morning and spent the night receiving treatment. TMZ published audio of a woman describing herself as Quinn's mother-in-law in what sounded as if Quinn was having a seizure.

Quinn declined to explain, saying dehydration was the cause.

"It kind of just overwhelmed me," Quinn told reporters. "It really just surprised me. Happened so fast. Didn't really have a lot of time to think about it. Just dealt with it when I realized what was going on. Kept on moving forward."

Quinn said doctors told him to drink more water. He said he will oblige.

Quinn, a two-time Pro Bowler, has two sacks this season while starting six of nine games.
