SEATTLE, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- As Thomas Rawls is gearing up to play in his first game since Sept. 18, the Seattle Seahawks are making things simple for fantasy football team owners.

On Tuesday the Seahawks waived running back Christine Michael. The move clears the path for Rawls to return to a feature-back role. It also signals that the team has confidence in rookie C.J. Prosise maintaining his dynamic third-down role.

Michael, 26, is obviously droppable in all fantasy football leagues. Although he scored seven touchdowns this season, he was averaging just 4.0 yards per carry. He was already being phased out, by only receiving 11 touches in the last two weeks. Michael turned those touches into a minuscule 27 yards from scrimmage. Michael was playing on a one-year, $765,000 contract during his second-stint in Seattle.

Rawls on the other hand should garner RB2 consideration the rest of the way. Prosise should stay in the flex picture and deserves RB2 consideration in deep PPR formats.
