NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Gronkowski suffered a punctured lung in the contest. Rapoport said that he "could miss just one game."
#Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's toughness would never be questioned. But finishing a game with a punctured lung is something else.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 14, 2016
The first-team All-Pro has 540 yards and three touchdowns on 25 receptions this season. He caught just three of his six targets for 56 yards Sunday night.
Rob Gronkowski on Earl Thomas hit: "Probably one of the hardest I got hit in my career, for sure...Good clean hit ...[he's] like a missile."— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) November 14, 2016
Missing another game obviously isn't ideal for fantasy football players with Gronkowski stock. He missed the first two games of the season and had just one catch for 11 yards in his first two games back. That means he has been absolutely useless for more than half of the fantasy football season to this point.
I would recommend trying to shop Gronkowski to another fantasy football owner if you can get back a solid return.
