SEATTLE, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Could rookie C.J. Prosise be vying for the job of Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael? For the second consecutive week, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has mentioned increasing Prosise's workload.
"Fantasy folks: Carroll said RB C.J. Prosise will play a lot Sunday," ESPN's Liz Mathews tweeted.
Prosise played 26 of the Seahawks' 47 snaps during its Week 9 win against the Buffalo Bills. He earned eight more snaps than Michael in the contest.
Carroll said before the game that Prosise "will be a lot more involved down the stretch for us," according to SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Prosise had 103 yards from scrimmage on eight touches in the Seahawks' Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints. He had 15 yards on four touches Monday.
Michael has 539 yards from scrimmage on 131 touches this season. Although he has seven touchdowns on the season, Michael has struggled to get yardage lately. On Monday, he had just one yard on five carries. He had 40 rushing yards in Week 8 and 52 rushing yards in Week 7.

Prosise is worth a pickup in every league. His value should continue to rise, even when Thomas Rawls returns. I expect a valuable third-down role for the rookie, making him a worthwhile flex play during a bye week crunch in deep leagues.
The Seahawks face the New England Patriots at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
