MIAMI, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A solid quarterback crop including Derek Carr, Andrew Luck, Tyrod Taylor, and Matthew Stafford will be unavailable this week to fantasy football team owners.

Bye weeks for that talented foursome of quarterbacks will push lesser talents into starting consideration on your fantasy squad.

For an idea of who you should consider adding to your team or placing in your starting lineup, take a look at my top 20 quarterbacks for the week. You can also view my add/drops for the week and more positional rankings in the links below.

TOP SHELF

Arizona Cardinals gunslinger Carson Palmer is returning to form for the stretch run in your fantasy football season. I expect Palmer to be a top-6 quarterback play this week against the San Francisco 49ers, a unit allowing the ninth-most fantasy to quarterbacks. The 49ers have also allowed 18 passing touchdowns, the fourth-most in the NFL. Palmer had his best performance of the season in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers, when he threw for 363 yards and three touchdowns. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is looking like a great second-half player, primed to lead you to fantasy football glory. This week, Wilson gets a New England Patriots defense allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. I expect Wilson vs. Tom Brady to a be a shootout in Foxborough. Wilson ended his three-week touchdown drought Monday against the Buffalo Bills. I expect his scoring streak to continue in this matchup.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be throwing all day long against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to his position. Cutler was also one of my recommended waiver wire pickups this week. Philadelphia Eagles rookie Carson Wentz also looks like a starting quarterback in a 12-team league this week against the Atlanta Falcons. Wentz might have hit a rookie wall, after lighting it up in the early part of the season, but I see him getting back into stride against a Falcons defense allowing the most fantasy points and touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks.

LONGSHOTS

Baltimore Ravens veteran Joe Flacco welcomes the Cleveland Browns to town. The Browns have allowed the second-most touchdowns and third-most fantasy points to opposing gunslingers. In his last matchup against the Browns, Flacco passed for 302 yards and two touchdowns for one of his best performances this season. The Browns have allowed multiple touchdown passes from quarterbacks in eight of nine games. Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is a dart-throw play if you are desperate because of bye weeks or injuries. Siemian should produce decent numbers against a New Orleans Saints defense allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Saints have allowed quarterbacks to pass for at least two touchdowns in five of its last six matchups.
