Antrel Rolle: Former New York Giants DB retiring from NFL

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Former first round pick, three-time Pro Bowl selection, and 2011 Super Bowl champion Antrel Rolle is retiring from the NFL.

Rolle, 33, announced the decision Monday on Good Morning Football. The Arizona Cardinals drafted Rolle with the No. 8 pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He had 26 interceptions, 705 tackles, and 70 passes defended in 11 seasons. In 2007, as a member of the Cardinals, Rolle had five interceptions, with three going for touchdowns. He led the league with 231 interception return yards.

Rolle won his Super Bowl as a member of the New York Giants. He left the Giants after the 2014 season to sign with the Chicago Bears. Last season he played in just seven games, registering 30 tackles.

Rolle was released in May and was considered by the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
