A bye week might have been all the team needed to get back to full strength, as tight end Zach Ertz said that he plans to play in the team's Week 5 battle against the Detroit Lions. Ertz is dealing with a displaced rib.

#Eagles TE Zach Ertz (Rob) said after the game he expects to be back for the Lions game after the bye. Has yet to be cleared by doctors.— Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane) September 26, 2016
Ertz, 25, had six receptions for 58 yards in Week 1 against the Browns. He hasn't played in a game since. His MRI came back clear and he should be ranked as a top-5 option against the Lions. The Lions have already allowed six touchdowns this season to tight ends. Ertz was at practice Monday. Eagles coach Doug Pederson also expects the tight end to play Sunday.
