PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- One of the most surprising storylines this NFL season has been the emergence of Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles' offense.
A bye week might have been all the team needed to get back to full strength, as tight end Zach Ertz said that he plans to play in the team's Week 5 battle against the Detroit Lions. Ertz is dealing with a displaced rib.
Zach Ertz said MRI was clear and he is practicing today and plans to play Sunday in Detroit.

The 3-0 Eagles are coming off of wins against the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
#Eagles TE Zach Ertz (Rob) said after the game he expects to be back for the Lions game after the bye. Has yet to be cleared by doctors.

Ertz, 25, had six receptions for 58 yards in Week 1 against the Browns. He hasn't played in a game since. His MRI came back clear and he should be ranked as a top-5 option against the Lions. The Lions have already allowed six touchdowns this season to tight ends. Ertz was at practice Monday. Eagles coach Doug Pederson also expects the tight end to play Sunday.
Pederson said he expects both Ertz and McKelvin back for Lions.
