TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin didn't play Sunday when his team was demoralized by the Denver Broncos.

Now the Buccaneers could be without the 2015 All-Pro selection through its Week 6 bye due to a hamstring injury, according to Tampa Bay Times reporter Greg Auman.

"No word on Doug Martin," Auman tweeted Monday. "Has not practiced in last two weeks. Some window to return for Carolina, but after bye seems more likely."

Martin is an RB1 when healthy, but there might not be a rush to get him back early. Charles Sims is a very capable back up, picking up 228 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 55 touches this season. Martin had 119 yards from scrimmage and no touchdowns in two starts this season.

An MRI on Martin's hamstring injury revealed a severe strain and possible tear. The Buccaneers have a Monday Night Football match up Oct. 10 against the Carolina Panthers. After its Week 6 bye, the Buccaneers travel to San Francisco for an Oct. 23 battle against the 49ers.

Sims should supply your fantasy team with RB2 production this season, despite his poor showing this Sunday against a dominant Broncos defense.
