EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- News of Eric Decker's partially torn right rotator cuff sounded bad for New York Jets fans at first. Now the news could be worse.

When asked if Decker's injury could be season-ending, Jets coach Todd Bowles said he was "not sure."

"I'm not sure," Bowles told reporters, via the New York Post. "They have to monitor it. [Doctors] said some people play with it over the course of time. We'll see how it goes."

Decker is likely to miss multiple weeks. The 29-year-old had 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns on 80 catches last season. He has 194 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions in 2016.

"I would say I definitely feel better today than I did Monday," Decker said Friday, after he was ruled out for the Jets' Week 4 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.

While this is a big blow to fantasy football players who own Decker, some solace could be found in Quincy Enunwa, who has established himself as a steady WR3 opposite Brandon Marshall.
