PHOENIX, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- NFL wide receivers aren't the only players with a grudge against Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has shared words with Norman several times since last season, with the latest subject being Madden rating.

When the Carolina Panthers rescinded the non-exclusive franchise tag on Norman in April, Peterson wrote "Know your worth" on Twitter. Peterson later deleted the tweet, before Norman signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Redskins.

But Peterson spoke up again Saturday, when video surfaced of Norman getting scorched by receivers at Redskins camp.

Peterson responded to a video on Twitter saying: "but he's the highest rating lol madden is a joke."

Norman responded to Peterson by saying "guess they ain't put NO #RESPEK! On your name "#4"!" He also engaged fans by writing: "when u #1 at Anything big guy ppl always try & bring you down to their Level, just Gota maintain who you are n continue to Grind!"

Norman is rated 94 overall in Madden, while Peterson is the No. 4 cornerback in the game at 91 overall.

"Norman is expected to be a lock down corner for the Redskins this season," the EA Sports website says of Norman. "He is best in zone with his 97 zone coverage rating, but has the ability to match up in man to man situations with 90 speed and 92 man coverage."

"Peterson is one of the games fastest defenders with 93 speed," the EA Sports website says of Peterson. "Take advantage of his 92 man coverage rating and leave him in 1v1 situations. You can roll safety coverage towards other areas of the field and feel confident he will get the job done on the outside."

In December, Pro Football Focus rated Norman as its No. 1 cornerback with a 95.1 rating. Pro Football Focus ranked Peterson No. 15 with a rating of 84.5.
