Justin Tucker could leave Baltimore Ravens

BALTIMORE, July 15 (UPI) -- Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker isn't afraid to leave the place where he has spent the first four years of his NFL career.

A 4 p.m. deadline is set Friday for teams and players set as franchise players to agree to long term deals. Tucker says if he doesn't get signed long term, he won't return for negotiations next season and will look to play for another team. He signed the franchise tag March 4.

"Justin's disillusioned with the process right now and the Ravens' position with him on his contract," Tucker's agent, Rob Roche, told Adam Schefter. "If we don't get a long-term deal done by Friday, Justin will not entertain offers from [the] Ravens after the season."

The franchise tag for kickers is set at $4.5 million this season. Tucker, 26, is the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history.

Tucker led the NFL with 40 field goal attempts last season. He has hit 87.8 percent of his career field goals and 100 percent of his extra point attempts.

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Sun reported that the Ravens were "optimistic" that the two parties would reach a long-term deal.
