PITTSBURGH, July 4 (UPI) -- Last week Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell was using Google to search who the NBA players were that cashed in on free agency.

But Bell also hopes to cash in with the Steelers.

He even has a number in mind.

"I'm at the top and if not I'm the closest," Bell rapped in his song 'Focus.' "I'ma need 15 a year and they know this."

Bell, 24, is arguably already one of the NFL's best running backs. He signed a four-year, $4.1 million contract in 2013 and is due $966,900 this season.

Adrian Peterson is currently the league's top paid back at $14 million annually. If the Steelers decide to franchise tag Bell next season, it would cost the team about $12 million.

Bell rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on 113 carries last season. He also had 26 receptions for 136 yards in 6 games for the Steelers. In 2015, he rushed for 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns on 290 carries and had 854 yards and three scores on 83 receptions.

Last week, Bell was among several NFL players complaining about their salaries compared to their NBA counterparts.

Bell is still recovering from MCL and PCL injuries suffered last season. He is unlikely to suit up before week 3 of the preseason, according to ESPN.
