CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico, June 28 (UPI) -- Troubled NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel needs find out where the radar is before trying to fly under it.

On Tuesday, the former Cleveland Browns gunslinger was spotted flying to Cabo San Lucas while wearing a Josh Gordon jersey.

He proceeded to take multiple pictures with airline staff and fans before boarding.

It's not entirely shocking that Manziel would want to flee the country. His father recently told reporters that he hopes his son goes to jail and his lawyer 'accidentally' sent a text to a news organization revealing that he was negotiating a plea deal.

Manziel is currently accused, in a domestic violence case, of hitting and threatening his ex-girlfriend earlier this year. The attorney has since withdrawn from the case.

The 23-year-old arrived in Mexico and posted on Instagram, even referencing his dad.

"@flashgordonxii I won't take this thing off for a week," Manziel wrote on the post. "You my brother FOR LIFE. JUST WAIT ON THIS COMEBACK!!!! #CaboWabo #JoshAintHere #hiDad #HappyBdayDaveEvans."

Gordon was suspended for at least one year last season for violating the NFL policy and program for substances of abuse. The 25-year-old wide receiver is eligible to apply for reinstatement on August 1. Manziel, 23, was waived by the Browns in March. He has been involved in relentless incidents since reaching free agency that will likely keep him from the field for the foreseeable future.
