BUFFALO, N.Y., June 17 (UPI) -- Stephon Gilmore might think he is a top cornerback in the NFL, and deserves to be paid like one, but the Buffalo Bills disagree.

Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported Friday that the Bills "have no intention" of paying Gilmore a $15 million per year deal, like that of Washington cornerback Josh Norman.

Gilmore, 25, attended minicamp so he could avoid $75,000 in fines. He is entering the final year of his rookie contract. The Bills already picked up his fifth-year option of $11 million, but Gilmore wants a longer, more lucrative deal.

"If Stephon Gilmore wants Josh Norman cornerback money, he'll have to get it from another team," Carucci wrote.

Norman joined Washington this offseason with a five-year, $75 million deal.

Carucci speculated that the Bills have no reason to treat Gilmore as a free agent, because he isn't one. The Bills could still place a franchise tag on Gilmore, but Carucci said the team would probably rather place the tag on quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

Pro Football Focus ranked Gilmore as the No. 9 cornerback in the NFL last season.

When asked about attending Bills training camp, Gilmore told ESPN's Mike Rodak: "We'll see."
