DETROIT, June 10 (UPI) -- Even Megatron is human.

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson retired in March. But the NFL left him with a few permanent parting gifts.

One of those 'gifts' is a jacked-up finger. On Friday, Johnson responded to a photo from Carolina Panthers defensive back Charles Tillman. Tillman posted a photo to Instagram of his messed up pinkie finger.

Just finished a set of push-ups...was I doing it right? #KeepPounding #VladsGym

But the former wide-out, one-upped Tillman's Thursday post, by posting a photo of his finger during and after surgery.

Warning: The photo below is somewhat graphic.

"I saw @peanuttillman pic of that beat up finger he has and thought I probably jacked this one up in all those physical battles over the years," Johnson wrote.

Johnson, 30, had 731 receptions, for 11,619 yards, and 83 touchdowns in nine seasons for the Lions. He finished he career as a six-time Pro-Bowl selection and three-time First-Team All-Pro.
