JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 22 (UPI) -- It wont just be Super Bowl contenders fighting for the services of Josh Norman, the up-and-coming pack is also eyeing the cornerback.

"There is a continuing interest...we do our due diligence. We do our homework," General Manager Dave Caldwell told Jacksonville Jaguars public relations senior manager Tad Dickman.

Norman became a free-agent Wednesday, after the Carolina Panthers rescinded his franchise tag. He is said to be asking for "(Darrelle) Revis-type money," according to NFL.com.

Revis signed a five-year, $70.1 million deal last year, with $39 million in guaranteed cash. Revis' deal is larger than Arizona Cardinals' Patrick Peterson and Seattle Seahawks' Richard Sherman, but contains less money guaranteed. Norman would have made $13.952 million under the franchise tag.

The San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, and Washington Redskins have also expressed interest in the 28-year-old cornerback. Norman will visit the Redskins, a team that has already made an offer, on Friday, according to Pro Football Talk.
