Cleveland Browns wide receiver Travis Benjamin to hit market

CLEVELAND, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Travis Benjamin looked poised to have a breakout season, scoring four touchdowns in the first three weeks last season for the Cleveland Browns.

He also looked ready to re-sign with the team to start this week. But on Tuesday, talks between Benjamin and the Browns broke down, according to Rand Getlin, of the NFL Network. Getlin also said that Benjamin "will hit the market."

Benjamin, 26, was selected No. 100 overall in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Browns. He finished 2015 with five total scores.

Benjamin has 109 receptions for 1,683 yards and 10 touchdowns in 54 career games.

The Miami product was paid $779,250 last season. OverTheCap.com said Benjamin has a predicted contract value of 3 years, and $15 million to $18 million.
