NEW YORK, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Darrelle Revis' secondary sidekick will suit up elsewhere, after the New York Jets cut Antonio Cromartie Monday.

Pro Football Focus ranked Cromartie, 31, No. 103 out of 118 cornerbacks last season. The San Diego Chargers drafted him with the No. 19 pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. Cromartie is a four time Pro Bowl selection and one time first-team All-Pro selection.

I had a lot of fun and I know my first have of the season didn't go well and I thank you guys for pushing and believing in me to keep me on the field so I could finish strong."

Cromartie signed a four-year, $32 million deal in March, but this move clears $8 million in cap for the Jets, according to Rotoworld.

Darryl Slate, of the Newark Star-Ledger, listed Marcus Williams, 24, as a possible replacement for Cromartie.
