GREEN BAY, Wis., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- When he wasn't reading NFL playbooks, Ahman Green was watching Batman movies during his NFL career.

The former Green Bay Packers running back will now be as close as possible to the 'Caped Crusader.' Green snagged a role in the newest Batman movie by staying in contact with Packers fan and the film's director, Zach Snyder.

"That was just a dream come true, a great opportunity that [director] Zack Snyder and their casting director gave me to be on set," Green told the 'Just Not Sports' podcast.

The film will feature Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Green, who stars as 'Thug #2.'

"I just stayed consistent with contacting him and finally I got a call from Warner Bros. Studios setting up flights," Green told the podcast. "It was just like, 'Yes, here we go!'"

Green also made appearances in 'Big Stan,' ' Stretch,' and 'The Sixty Yard Line.' 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25.

Green, 38, retired in 2009. He rushed for 9,205 yards and 60 touchdowns in 12 seasons for the Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Houston Texans.
