KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- There are worse places to look for love. But Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is going the reality-TV route.
Kelce will make his awkward first dates available for the eyes of a national audience when he stars in the new E! series Catching Kelce.
Kelce, who has caught 139 passes for 1,737 yards and 10 scores in his first two NFL seasons, caught the eye of the network's executive vice president of programming and development, Jeff Olde, according to Deadline.com.
"On top of being a well-respected athlete, Travis has a fun-loving, over-the-top personality that draws people to him, and we are excited to give our viewers an up-close look at his search for love," Olde said.
According to Deadline.com's Denise Petski, the show features: "Fifty eligible women, one from each state in the U.S. will be invited to Los Angeles as Kelce searches for that special someone to become his lifelong 'teammate.'"
"Kelce will be joined by famous friends and family to help him along his journey, but in the series finale, only he can decide who is the right woman for him. The dating series has a twist, though. While Kelce will be deciding who stays in the house and who is sent home along the way, the women are able to strategically decide who is attending the all-important group dates."
