Pittsburgh Steelers send sandwiches to Buffalo Bills

By Alex Butler

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Nothing says 'Thank You' quite like a grilled meat sandwich stuffed with French fries and coleslaw.

And that's just what the Buffalo Bills received from the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday, after defeating the New York Jets 22-17.

The Bills victory, coupled with the Steelers' 28-12 win against the Cleveland Browns, sent the Steelers to a wildcard playoff berth. The Steelers face the Cincinnati Bengals at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at Paul Brown Stadium.

Primanti Brothers tweeted from its official account Sunday: "We're shippin' sammiches for the #wildcard bout with the Bengals! Select delivery for Jan 8!" The tweet included a photo of a terrible towel toting drone carrying a box of sandwiches.

The Steelers followed the tweet by saying: "Nothing like a "Thank You" note with some fries and coleslaw on it."

The Bills got in on the Twitter fun, issuing out several tweets of gratitude. Unfortunately for Buffalo, coach Rex Ryan and his team will be eating the sandwiches from the couch as they watch the playoffs.

The Bills have not made an appearance in the playoffs since 1999.
