LAS VEGAS, June 27 (UPI) -- Following an altercation with his girlfriend two months ago at a hotel in Las Vegas, former NFL star Warren Sapp has been charged with three counts of domestic battery.

The Hall of Famer, who could face up to 18 months in prison if convicted, allegedly stomped on Chalyce Moore's head and bit her during the incident.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the fight started by the M Resort pool where Moore alleges the ex-defensive lineman threw a margarita in her face.

The police report says the altercation continued in Moore's care, where Sapp allegedly threw his seatbelt at her, which she threw back when she pulled over the vehicle and asked him to leave. He continues to deny the charges.

The incident is the latest in a slew of charges for Sapp, he recently pleaded guilty to one count of assault and one count of solicitation.
