PITTSBURGH, May 15 (UPI) -- Le'Veon Bell had a spectacular season last year, smudged slightly by a marijuana suspension.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back rushed for 1,361 yards and eight scores while catching 83 passes for 854 yards and three touchdowns en route to his first Pro Bowl.
But Bell now says he's ready to serve his time: a three-game suspension that resulted from his August marijuana possession and DUI charges.
"I made a mistake. I'm going to just have to do my time, whatever the final decision may be," Bell told ESPN. "Get past it, and get ready for next season and continuing to be the great football player I know I can be."

Bell, 23, also has 15 months probation in a first-offender's program and must abstain from drugs and alcohol, pay a $100 fee and court costs, partake in any recommended treatment, and finish a safe driving course, according to ESPN.
"I did everything that they needed me to do and I did it quick," Bell told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "So eventually, that's going to be off my record. Obviously, like I said, I still have to do my time that they gave me, but if (the league) were to look into that and all the community service that I did and the classes that I had to take in eventually getting it off my record, that should be something that maybe they consider and help me knock off some time."
Bell signed a four-year, $4,120,600 contract in 2013. He is due to make $779,600 this season and $966,900 in 2016.
