FOXBOROUGH, Mass., May 11 (UPI) -- The New England Patriots announced that "employees John Jastremski and James McNally have been indefinitely suspended without pay by the club, effective on May 6th," according to Pro Football Talk.

The assistant equipment man Jastremski and game-day attendant McNally made waves in the media after text messages between the two men were released regarding their involvement in the team's DeflateGate fiasco.

Quarterback Tom Brady was suspended for four games by the NFL and the Patriots lost multiple draft picks and were charged a $1 million fine, in a punishment released May 11.

"Neither of these individuals may be reinstated without the prior approval of NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent," according to the Boston Globe.

Still Patriots owner Robert Kraft continues to be adamant against league punishment.

"Despite our conviction that there was no tampering with footballs, it was our intention to accept any discipline levied by the league," Kraft said in a statement. Today's punishment, however, far exceeded any reasonable expectation. It was based completely on circumstantial rather than hard or conclusive evidence."
