LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 2 (UPI) -- It's hard to keep a low profile at 6 feet, 6 inches and 265 pounds. It's even harder when you're wearing a plaid suit at the Kentucky Derby. Tight end Rob Gronkowski headlined a cast of New England Patriots who attended Saturday's 141st running of the derby, won by favorite American Pharaoh.

But maybe speaking louder than Gronkowski's suit red, white, blue, and green threads is the fact that the Patriots flew out of Kentucky, probably before the derby began and traveled to Las Vegas to catch the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather mega-fight.

At 6:50 p.m., Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman tweeted a photo from a plane that read: "@RobGronkowski @DannyAmendola @Zegna left derby now to the fight rocking out to that #geazy #patsboomsqaud."

The derby finished at 6:45 p.m. Tom Brady, Matt Cassel, Edelman, Gronkowski, Danny Amendola, and Wes Welker all attended the event.
