NEW ORLEANS, April 11 (UPI) -- Former NFL star Darren Sharper was sentenced to nine years in federal prison last Monday, but when he gets out, more punishment is waiting.
According to the New Orleans Advocate, Shaper will have sex offender treatment, can't drink alcohol for the rest of his life, go to bars or liquor stores, visit sex shops, chat online to get a date, or spend the night away from home or travel more than 50 miles.
Sharper will also take lie detector tests and be subject to the "penile plethysmograph," where a sensor is attached to his penis while sexual images flash in front of his eyes to gauge his arousal, according to the Advocate.
If Sharper fails to comply, he would serve at least another 14 years in prison in Arizona and/or Louisiana. If he gets out again, he would face the same conditions.
