NBC exec says Super Bowl ad price is a steal

The Feb. 1 game will be televised by NBC.

GLENDALE, Ariz., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- With 5 percent of its ad space available, you can still buy a Super Bowl commercial from NBC at a bargain price of $4.5 million. Seth Winter, EVP of sales and marketing for NBC Universal Sports Group and News Group called the price a "steal," according to Business Insider.

The Feb. 1 game will be televised by NBC is expected to be the "biggest day in advertising," according to Winter.

Seattle and Denver set a ratings record last year on FOX in Super Bowl XLVIII, with an average of 111.49 million viewers in the U.S., beating the 2012 record.

There are 15 first-time sponsors for this year's game. Anheuser-Busch will have three ads.
