Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Veteran forward Natasha Howard agreed to sign with the Indiana Fever, adding another All-Star to its Caitlin Clark-led lineup, she confirmed Friday on Instagram.
"Back to where all my dreams came true," Howard wrote on a post, which featured a photo of herself holding up a Fever jersey at the 2014 WNBA Draft.
Howard, 33, spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Wings. She entered the league as the No. 5 overall pick by the Fever in 2014. Howard also played for the Minnesota Lynx, Seattle Storm and New York Liberty.
The two-time All-Star and All-Defensive Team selection was the 2019 Defensive Player of the year. She also won three titles, including one with the Lynx in 2017 and two with the Storm (2018 and 2020).
Howard averaged 17.6 points, the second-highest total of her career, over 27 appearances last season for the Wings. She also averaged a career-high 2.9 assists and 6.7 rebounds per game. Howard averaged 11.5 points. 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game through her first 336 appearances in the WNBA.
The Fever will face the Washington Mystics in its first preseason game May 3 in Indianapolis. It will take on the Chicago Sky in their regular-season opener May 17 in Indianapolis.
