Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Mac McClung will return to the NBA's slam dunk contest, he confirmed Monday on social media. The Orlando Magic two-way player won the event in 2023 and 2024.
The 2025 edition of the competition will be Feb. 15 at Chase Center in San Francisco. It will air on TNT after the skills challenge and three-point contest, with coverage starting at 8 p.m. EST.
Coverage of the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will start at 8 p.m. Feb. 16 on TNT and TruTV.
McClung will compete against San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle, Chicago Bulls forward Matas Buzelis and Milwaukee Bucks guard Andre Jackson Jr. He will attempt to become the first player to win three-consecutive slam dunk contest crowns.
The former Georgetown and Texas Tech guard signed a two-way contract with the Magic in October. He totaled two assists and a rebound in 4:53 of action in his lone appearance this season for the Magic, an Oct. 26 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
McClung averaged a G League-best 25.7 points per game last season en route to MVP honors while playing for the Osceola Magic.
