July 1 (UPI) -- Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young and Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night at Fiserv Forum in Wisconsin.
Young, who was a game-time decision for the fifth game of the series, will again be out because of a bone bruise in his right foot. He tested his foot before the game, but Hawks head coach Nate McMillan said Young didn't feel comfortable enough to return.
The 22-year-old Young suffered the injury when he accidentally stepped on the foot of referee Sean Wright late in the third quarter of Game 3 against the Bucks. The All-Star guard has averaged 29.8 points and 9.5 assists in his first postseason appearance and 32.7 points in the East final.
Young will continue to rehabilitate the foot with hopes of playing in Game 6 on Saturday in Atlanta.

Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo also was ruled out for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals because of his left knee injury.
Antetokounmpo, who was initially listed as doubtful for the matchup, suffered a hyperextended left knee during Game 4 on Tuesday. An MRI and subsequent exam showed no structural damage or ligament issues.
The two-time NBA MVP was forced to exit Game 4 against the Hawks with a little over seven minutes remaining in the third quarter after he jumped to contest an alley-oop pass from John Collins to Clint Capela and landed awkwardly, causing his left knee to buckle.
He immediately collapsed to the floor and remained on the ground for several minutes as he grimaced in pain. He eventually limped to the locker room and later returned to the bench, but he was ruled out for the rest of the contest.
Antetokounmpo has averaged 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists in the playoffs.
The Eastern Conference Finals series between the Hawks and Bucks is tied at two games apiece. The winner of the series will play the Phoenix Suns -- who eliminated the Los Angeles Clippers in six games -- in the NBA Finals.
