High school 7-footer crosses up Stephen Curry with dribble

Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Chet Holmgren, a 7-foot basketball star from Minneapolis, pulled off a nasty crossover on Stephen Curry during the Golden State Warriors star's basketball camp.

Holmgren pulled off the move at SC30 Select Camp, which takes place from Monday through Wednesday in the Bay Area.

The No. 7 overall recruit in the 2021 ESPN 60 rankings and No. 4 recruit in the 2021 Top 247 rankings played tough defense and showed his shooting range against Curry during a scrimmage. The Minnehaha Academy junior's best highlight came when Curry faced him up defensively. Holmgren dribbled the ball with his right hand before going behind his back twice.

The move got Curry off-balance and allowed Holmgren to fly around his left hip. Holmgren finished the move with a two-handed slam dunk.

Holmgren has offers from Arkansas, Minnesota, Purdue, Texas, Texas A&M and Western Kentucky, among other schools. The high school basketball sensation also commended Curry for his effort during the scrimmage.

"I love the ones who show the whole story," Holmgren tweeted in a reply to a video that showed Curry making a 3-pointer over him.
