With under 15 seconds left in the second quarter, Curry used a screen from Kevon Looney and faded back for a tough 3-pointer over Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum.
Curry drained the shot as he fell backward and hit the floor. He exploded for 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, in the first half. Klay Thompson had 11 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
The Warriors led Portland 54-45 after the first two quarters.
