The Memphis Grizzlies traded the 7-foot-1 center to the Raptors on Feb. 7. Gasol scored 16 points and had six rebounds in his second game with the team, a 127-125 win on Monday in Toronto.
But he didn't have a smooth start on the floor of Scotiabank Arena. Gasol awkwardly stood around as Raptors players sprinted into a stretching formation. Gasol's teammates ran by his side before jumping into place and stretching their legs. Gasol looked on and stood, moving slowly side-to-side while in the paint.
He eventually got a high-five from Raptors star Kyle Lowry before the team took to the court for some basketball.
Gasol had seven points, six rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist in his first game with the Raptors. Toronto beat the New York Knicks 104-99 in that clash Feb. 9 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Gasol, 34, is averaging 15.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game this season. The three-time All-Star played his first 11 seasons for the Grizzlies before coming over in the trade.
The Raptors host the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Toronto.
