Dec. 4 (UPI) -- The NBA has fined Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley $25,000 for throwing the ball at a spectator.

NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VandDeWeghe announced the fine on Tuesday. Beverley was on the floor fighting for a loose ball during the sequence. He eventually emerged from the pile-up and walked toward the bench. He launched the basketball into the crowd along the baseline, hitting a man sitting in the front row.

After the game, Beverley said the fan said "[expletive] your mother."

Beverley scored three points and had four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 16:59 during the loss.
