Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Karl-Anthony Towns hammered down an explosive one-handed jam during the Minnesota Timberwolves' loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The slam came with 1:28 remaining in the Nuggets' 103-101 victory on Wednesday at Target Center in Minneapolis. Towns received a short pass from Derrick Rose while hovering behind the 3-point line on the play.

He caught the ball and faked out Mason Plumlee before sprinting into the paint. Towns picked up his dribble and lifted off over a stationary Paul Millsap. He pulled the ball back in his right hand before swinging it forward and jamming it down with authority, sending Millsap to the floor.

Towns scored a team-high 22 points and had seven rebounds in the loss. Millsap netted a game-high 25 points for the Nuggets. Denver big man Nikola Jokic had seven points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the win.

Towns and the Timberwolves face the Brooklyn Nets at noon on Friday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
