Nov. 9 (UPI) -- New York Knicks center Kristaps Porzingis posted photos of himself running, hours after his coach said that he was not at the "sprinting" stage in his recovery.
Knicks coach David Fizdale told ESPN and the New York Post that Porzingis wasn't at the "level" of sprinting yet after tearing his ACL last November at Madison Square Garden. He had surgery in February on his left knee.
Fizdale said Porzingis was still at the stage he was prior to training camp of light jogging and shooting.
"He's still kind of there," Fizdale said. "Not huge jumps."
After the comments, Porzingis posted two photos of himself running on a track on his Instagram story.
The 23-year-old Latvian averaged a career-high 22.7 points and 6.6 rebounds in 48 games last season en route to his first All-Star selection.
