Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Dallas Mavericks star Dennis Smith Jr. appeared to have wings when he flew in for a one-handed dunk against the Washington Wizards.

Dallas led 117-98 with 45 seconds to play when Smith faced up against Wizards forward Troy Brown Jr. The 6-foot-3 guard dribbled between his legs beyond the 3-point line before driving to Brown's right after a hesitation move. He flew by the 6-foot-7 Brown and elevated far from the rim. Smith picked up the ball in cranked it back in his right hand before slamming it through the rim with a violent finish.

Wizards star John Wall scored a game-high 24 points in the loss. Luka Doncic led Dallas with 23 points. DeAndre Jordan had eight points and 12 rebounds. Smith finished the night with 19 points, seven assists and four rebounds.

The Mavericks face the Utah Jazz at 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.
