July 2 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic welcomed LeBron James to Los Angeles in Zlatan Ibrahimovic-style, using the third person and calling himself a God.

Ibrahimovic posted a message to James on Sunday, after an announcement was made regarding the biggest free agent in the NBA signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Now LA has a God and a King," Ibrahimovic wrote on Instagram and Twitter. "Zlatan welcomes King James."

The photo had more than 2 million combined likes on the social media platforms as of Monday morning.

Ibrahimovic joined the Galaxy in March. He signed up to play in Major League Soccer after playing in Europe from 1999 through 2017. The superstar striker has seven goals in 12 appearances for the Galaxy.

Ibrahimovic was equally as emphatic about his greatness in March, when he took out a full-page ad in the Los Angeles Times to announce his arrival.

"Dear Los Angeles, You're welcome," he wrote.

James has yet to publicly announce his arrival in Los Angeles. On Sunday night he posted a message to the city of Cleveland after reports of his signing with the Lakers emerged.

The Lakers are now in the process of filling out their roster. Los Angeles also agreed to deals with free agents Lance Stephenson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and JaVale McGee. The Lakers have also been linked to several other All-Stars, including San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard and New Orleans Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins.
