May 3 (UPI) -- NBA rookie Donovan Mitchell threw down a monster put-back dunk in the Utah Jazz's Game 2 win against the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals.
Mitchell showed off his hops in the fourth quarter of the 116-108 win Wednesday at the Toyota Center in Houston. The prolific guard had the ball with about 6:20 remaining in the game. He dribbled into the paint, before stopping on a dime for a shot over Trevor Ariza.
Mitchell then realized his shot was off target. He quickly jumped back up into the air, out-leaping 6-foot-10 center Clint Capela, the 6-foot-8 Ariza and 6-foot-6 forward P.J. Tucker.
Instead, the 6-foot-3 rookie snatched the ball with one hand and threw down a wicked slam over the trio. The dunk increased the Jazz's lead to 100-94.

"Well that was my first one really on TV," Mitchell told reporters. "That was pretty cool in the playoffs to be able to do that."
Mitchell finished the game with 17 points, 11 assists, five rebounds and two steals. Joe Ingles scored a team-high 27 points for Utah.
NBA MVP favorite James Harden poured in 32 points and had 11 assists and six rebounds in the loss.
The Western Conference clash is now tied at 1-1. Game 3 tips off at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
