Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. threw down a massive tomahawk dunk Monday against the Golden State Warriors.

And he did so right in the face of NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant.

The 24-year-old only netted eight points, compared to Durant's game-high of 36 points, but he did provide one of the best highlights of the night.

The Warriors led the Lakers 57-51 with about 48 seconds remaining in the first half. Durant dribbled up the floor and attempted a cross-court pass. The feed was intercepted by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and landed in the hands of Nance.

Nance gave the ball back to Caldwell-Pope, who dribbled down the court in transition. Caldwell-Pope then fed Nance, who was flashing down the right side of the court.

Nance elevated directly in front of a leaping 6-foot-9 Durant. He lifted the ball up with his right hand and cranked his arm back. Nance then slammed the ball through the net for the high-rising finish.

The Lakers forward is posting 8.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season. Durant, 29, is averaging 26.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per bout for the Warriors.
